Frome park arrest : Police say it was an isolated incident

Police in Frome have confirmed that someone was arrested today (November 13) following reports of big groups gathering in the field next to Victoria Park.

People reported large groups of youngsters, some in school uniform, on the Mary Bailey playing field, next to the tennis courts alongside the main park.

A male was arrested at 15:38 hours.

On the police site it was reported that a large number of people were then dispersed from the area.

Officers added : " We would like to reassure the public that this is an isolated incident and the local neighbourhood team will be in the area over the course of the evening."
