Planning decisions made in Mendip this week include:

-An application for a single story rear extension

24 Nunney Road in Frome, has been approved.

-As has an application to build a single story rear extension at 19 Wynford Road in Frome.

-A proposed single storey rear and side extension and new window openings at 90 Oakfield Road in Frome, has been approved with conditions.

- Plans for a new single storey extension and minor alterations to existing window openings at

Chickwell New Farm Chickwell Lane in Hemington. Approval with conditions.

-Tree felling work can take place at 17 High Street in Rode. The application, in a conservation area, will see the apple tree at the address reduced in height and spread by up to three metres.

- An application for change of use of a gypsy/traveller site at Moors Barn on Marsh Road Standerwick into an equestrian centre and industrial units, has been withdrawn.

Applications made to Mendip this week include:

- An application to build a single storey rear extension at 13 Lower Street Rode Frome BA11 6PU. The application does not extend above the existing ridge tile, along the rear party wall line, and therefore it is considered that it does not effect the heritage asset of the dwelling.

- The owners of 47 Butts Hill in Frome have applied to build an extension at the property which is an end of terrace family dwelling that has been been previously altered and extended several times. There has a dilapidated WC only accessible externally, on the rear elevation, with a corrugated fibre cement roof. The application will not involve increasing the footprint of the area.
