On Saturday Frome RFC welcomed old rivals Corsham RFC to The Lane, in what was set to be a tough encounter.

Unfortunately it wasn't set to be the encounter Frome had hoped for as earlier in the week Corsham conceded the fixture as they were not able to field a full front row, giving Frome a Home Walkover, and gaining the 5pt win. However in the spirit of the game, both sides were still wanting to play, so with instead enjoyed a friendly fixture.

Frome demonstrated the progress they have made over the past few and continued winning ways as they came away winners after the 80mins. Centre Cory Plumridge was awarded Player of the Match (pictured)

Frome now sit sixth in Counties 1 Tribute Southern South, and return to league action on November 4th when they travel to Dorchester RFC who sit one place below them.

The Frome RFC 3rd XV were in league action as they headed to Chew Valley RFC in Round 2 of the Counties 4 Tribute Somerset North league. The home side were able to pull away during the game and the score line finished 36-7 to the hosts.

Players of the match went to Ali Fisher and James Orman.

There is a pause in league fixtures this weekend as the Club looks to welcome plenty of rugby fans to enjoy the Men's Rugby World Cup Final that kicks off on Saturday at 8pm. The Final is then followed by the Annual Halloween Party, with Live music, fancy dress & cocktails. (Free entry)

League action returns for all three senior teams on November 4th when the 1st XV travel to Dorchester, the 2nd XV travel to Salisbury II (on the Friday night) and the 3rd XV welcome St Bernadette's Old Boys II.
