A fun challenge for players of all ages is keeping team spirit alive at Frome Rugby Football Club.

All 20 of the club's teams - from the three adult squads to the Under 6s - have been asked to tackle a video pass the ball challenge.

And the sporting stars from the Under 11 team have been the first to rise to the challenge.

Matt Warnock, from Frome Rugby Football Club, said: "When everyone had to go into lockdown and all games were cancelled, Chris Heard RFU community coach for Somerset set a challenge for clubs to take part.

"Our coaches are keeping teams busy and active through online interactions as well as setting challenges - and we hope this one really takes off.

"The Under 11 team - along with head coach Mike Bull - is the first to complete the challenge.

"Twenty-three young players introduce themselves and nominate the next player to receive the ball.

"Katie White, who takes photos for the club and has a son in the Under 11 team, has sewn all the individual footage together to create the finished video which you can see here: their social site

"The youngsters have done a great job and it's fun to watch. We hope it will not only generate positivity within the club, but also the wider community."

The club hopes to post further team pass the ball challenge videos on it's Facebook page in the near future.

"It's a really great challenge and we are now thinking about getting in touch with other sports clubs and teams in Frome to see if we can get them involved," added Matt.
