Fantastic artwork has appeared in the window of Frome's favourite sewing shop - and for sewing fans, there is no doubting the personalities depicted.

The Millie Moon shop on Catherine Hill is now selling exclusive badges to show love for a show which is all about upcycling, recycling and the odd misplaced zip.

They are made by one of the owner's daughters - who is also called Millie - now home under lockdown from her art studies in London.

If you don't know the faces then you are not one of the several million fans who watch Patrick Grant, Esme Young and Joe Lycett unpick a group of amateur sewing fans, on the weekly TV show, the Great British Sewing Bee which is on tonight (April 29).

Millie is studying Fine Art at Central St Martins - although now obviously remotely due to coronavirus -and her aunt and mum thought her art would be perfect for the window of their now-closed shop, Millie Moon Sewing on Catherine Hill.

Sisters Rachel and Becki , who have lived in the area all their lives, have run the shop in tandem since May 2008.

Rachel said: " We love what we do, we love making and we love seeing what everyone else is making too.

"Our craft club and workshops are a great way to see customers projects come to life, from beautiful amazing quilts and stunning dresses to lampshades, cushions and gifts for loved ones. It never gets boring as there is something new to 'ooh and ahh' over every day."

The sisters are clear that they are also not just a

fabric shop.

Rachel told Nub News : " We try to select a wide variety of unusual crafty products to stock the shelves. Sew, craft, make – whether you are into sewing, upcycling or just crafty, there will always be something new arriving in the shop. "

Except of course due to the lockdown.

However the sisters have moved their business completely on line, now the doors are currently closed.

You can however buy all their stock on line - including badges of the Great British Sewing Bee artwork

Rachel said: " We are operating online and doing free local deliveries. Cant wait to get back in the shop though, we miss everyone and each other."
