The news is finally official that Frome Town FC has formed what they are calling an "Ongoing affiliation" with a housing developer.

Nub News has known for some time that the plans were in to develop space alongside the existing ground up at Badgers Hill in Frome.

Now (January 3) the team has confirmed that it has joined up with housing developers Cotswold Homes Ltd.

The full statement from the Frome TC site is :

"The company has purchased a section of land to the rear of the Clubhouse which borders the outskirts of the perimeter of the Robin's Nest, and will therefore be renting two sections of car park from the Club for a 12 month period (commencing from tomorrow).

"In addition to a select number of parking spaces that will be used by the Cotswold Homes team accessing the worksite in the area next to the Clubhouse, there will also be a small portacabin positioned at the main entrance which will act as a Marketing Suite for those interested in purchasing one of the new properties.

"We'd like to reassure you that this will have no impact on your future gameday experience, as viewings will take place by appointment only and parking access will be limited to non-matchdays once we are hopefully able to get the season back underway.

"As part of the ongoing relationship, Cotswold Homes will also be investing in sponsorship with us with details to be released in due course, and the overall deal will see much needed revenue coming into the Club at this most challenging financial time, so it is likely that you will become familiar with the company over the course of the year.

"To reiterate, the Club is in not involved in the development of the land in question; we are merely facilitating access to the area and providing a base for their workforce, but if you would like further clarification, please feel free to get in touch."
