It was an important game for Frome Town FC at their last home tie match and taking on a keen and energetic Paulton Rovers.

They needed a win to gain an all important play off tie, which they did with a goal to spare, much to the delight of fans.

The lead began with a disputed goal from Frome's Kane Simpson just before the half time mark, with a walk into the goal score line which had Paulton demanding the referee review the decision. Not happy and even less happy when the dispute led to some yellow cards.

Back out after half time and it wasn't long before The Robins made it two nil with a cracking goal from James Ollis, making for much ribbing of the Paulton goalie, Aaron Sainsbury.

But the team's joy was short lived, with Thomas calmly scoring from the penalty spot to make it 2-1 to the visitors. A pressured last few minutes and the final whistle saw the team very pleased with the result and a cool three points in the shopping basket.

The attendance at the match, the last at Badger's Hill, was 731 not far from the all-time high of 800 when they played Highworth.
