Talented students from Stagecoach Performing Arts Trowbridge, Frome & Westbury were among 10 schools who performed in the illustrious "Dance The Dream" pre-parade event outside Cinderella's Castle at the world-famous Disneyland Paris on 27-30 July, 2023.

Stagecoach Trowbridge worked tremendously hard during rehearsals for what culminated in a fantastic display of talent and community for audiences from around the world. The students were joined by performers from Stagecoach Cheam and Worcester Park, Greenwich, High Wycombe, Henley and Marlow, Sutton Coldfield and Coventry, Leeds Morley, Weybridge, Headington, Pontefract, and Summertown.

The magical performance follows a variety of standout showcases from Stagecoach students throughout the summer, including multiple features on West End stages.

The "Dance the Dream" event provides the students with a chance to come together and showcase their talents overseas, whilst building on their creativity and courage– skills that will benefit them for life, both on and off the stage.

Disneyland Paris, which has been open since 1992, has been home to theme parks, entertainment, and nature parks, all dedicated to world-renowned Disney characters such as Cinderella, Aladdin, Toy Story, and many others.

Stagecoach Trowbridge Principal Freddie Underwood said: "This is our fifth time performing at Disneyland Paris and once again we had the most magical and unforgettable experience. 17 of our students, aged 8 to 17 years old, sang in front of the Disney castle as the park opened, danced in the pre-parade in front of thousands of international visitors and performed a 15-minute routine onstage at the Videopolis theatre in Discoveryland. Students and their families created memories they will never forget, and it was an honour to be a part of it. This is what makes Stagecoach so special, the beautiful community that is created at our schools."

In the 35 years since launching, Stagecoach Performing Arts has seen more than one million students unlock their creative potential, which they will value for their whole lives. Provided with the support and dedication of such an outstanding Principal network, the students learn so much more than how to sing, dance and act. Stagecoach helps them blossom into well-rounded individuals, ready to embrace life and all of its exciting opportunities. Stagecoach Performing Arts is also thrilled to be celebrating its 35-year anniversary this year.

The value of performing arts training extends far beyond the opportunities for professional performance features. Recent Stagecoach survey research highlighted the incredible positive impacts the arts have on children's happiness and creativity, with 85% of children citing singing and dancing with their peers as a major contributing factor to their happiness. Almost half (41%) of the nation's parents are concerned that their children are less happy growing up than their generation had been. Encouraging participation in the arts will have undeniable benefits for the wellbeing of both children and parents.

With a network of over 55,000 students and more than 3000 extra-curricular Performing Arts Schools worldwide, Stagecoach aims to make a difference in its students' lives by teaching Creative Courage for Life. Many children have gone on to study and work in performing arts, from blockbuster films to countless roles in local theatre productions. Early Stages classes are available for children aged four to six and Main Stages classes take place for six to 18-year-olds every weekend during term time.
