What are Pop-Up Allotments?

Pop-Up Allotments are a novel approach to community gardening that empowers aspiring gardeners and landowners alike to come together, nurture green spaces, and grow their very own fruits and vegetables. We envision these allotments as vibrant oases of growth and connection, breathing life into under-utilised spaces around Frome. As we embark on this journey, we are exploring two potential sites right now that will serve as lush havens for gardeners of all ages and backgrounds.

How it Works:

1. Aspiring Gardeners: If you've always dreamed of cultivating your green thumb but lack a dedicated gardening space, Pop-Up Allotments offer you the perfect opportunity. You'll be assigned an individual plot where you can unleash your creativity, planting your favourite fruits, vegetables, and vibrant flowers.
2. Community Fruit and Perennial Veg Plots: At Pop-Up Allotments, we believe in nurturing not only individual gardeners but also a strong sense of community. To further this vision, we will be creating shared spaces for fruits and perennial vegetables. Imagine a bountiful communal garden where members can enjoy the fruits of collective labor.
3. Landowners: We have two potential sites, but are always looking for more. Do you own land that could flourish with greenery and purpose? By participating in Pop-Up Allotments, you will be contributing to the beautification of Frome but also fostering community engagement and sustainable practices.
