With temperatures set to reach 30 degrees in the coming days it is tempting to look for places around Frome to cool down.

But sadly the open water swimming in Vobster Quays is still not full re-opened - it only open for pre-booked swims and only if you are already a member.

The diving centre is not open nor is it open for air fills (as of June 23).

In Mells the riverside has been taped off to deter visitors, while in his speech to parliament Boris Johnson specifically ruled out the re-opening of any indoor gyms or swimming pools. On June 10 the management company of the fitness centre Fusion, said it was " Looking forward to opening soon." However today (June 23) he told parliament that any "close proximity" locations, like gyms would remain closed.

The nearest wild swimming closest to Frome is considered to be at Farleigh Hungerford.

However this is run as a swimming club and in their latest advisory they have said the swimming, which is in the River Frome, will not open because it is too popular.

They wrote on their site: "We don't have the security to limit the numbers so will have to remain closed until it is felt safe to have a large ticketed outside event."

If you are a member of Vobster Quay you can book a swimming session via their Facebook page here:
