The line-up for Glastonbury Festival 2025 has finally been revealed, with The 1975, Olivia Rodrigo, and Neil Young confirmed as this year's Pyramid Stage headliners.

After months of speculation, organisers have confirmed that the Cheshire pop band The 1975 will take the headline slot on Friday night, followed by Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young on Saturday, and US pop star Olivia Rodrigo closing the festival on Sunday.

Big names on the bill

As well as the headliners, this year's line-up includes some of music's biggest names, with Charli XCX, Loyle Carner, and The Prodigy among those set to perform.

The announcement follows confirmation earlier this year that Sir Rod Stewart will play the coveted Sunday teatime "legend slot".

Neil Young's inclusion as a headliner comes after some initial confusion. In January, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer told fans he was pulling out of the festival over concerns about the BBC's corporate involvement. Days later, he backtracked, saying he had made his original decision due to "an error in the information I received".

First-time headliners and festival controversy

This will be the first time The 1975 have headlined Glastonbury, having made their debut at the festival in 2014. The band, fronted by Matty Healy, is known for hits such as Somebody Else and Chocolate, as well as the frontman's off-stage antics.

Healy recently made headlines when his band was sued for £2m by a Malaysian festival after he kissed a male bandmate on stage, leading to the event being shut down. He was also involved in a public spat with rapper Azealia Banks, who sent him a cease-and-desist letter after an argument on social media.

Tickets and resale details

Unsurprisingly, tickets for Glastonbury 2025 sold out in just 35 minutes when they went on sale in November, despite an £18.50 price increase from last year, bringing the total cost to £373.50 plus a £5 booking fee.

For those who missed out, there's still a chance to grab a ticket in the resale this spring, when unpaid tickets will be made available again through See Tickets.

Looking ahead to a fallow year

With Glastonbury traditionally taking a break every five years to allow the land at Worthy Farm to recover, 2026 is expected to be a "fallow year"—meaning this summer's festival will be the last until 2027.

Last year's festival saw Dua Lipa, SZA, and Coldplay headline the Pyramid Stage, with Coldplay making history as the first act to headline Glastonbury five times.

With Rod Stewart in the legend slot, Neil Young returning to the festival, and two fresh headliners in The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo, Glastonbury 2025 is set to be another standout year for Worthy Farm.
