Weekly Stay-and-Play sessions as well as toy-lending re-starts on 3rd Dec. along with free home-delivery of play-sacks and games for Toy Library members unable to collect in-person.

T hanks to new sponsorship from local companies Cox & Cox, TSL IT Solutions, Dennis Maps, The College of Bowen Studies and new primary sponsor Western Airducts, plus the generosity of Localgiving donations, the Frome Toy Library borrowing service is alive and well in the town.

Purple Elephant, organisers of the library, will be at the Vallis Community Room every term-time Thursday, having added new Covid-aware measures to ensure children can stay and play safely.

Families may borrow toys to take home or simply join the play session - or do both. Sessions run from 9.30 to 12noon on Thursdays; adults will need to wear a mask and keep 2m apart but full safety instructions for entry, distancing and sanitising will be explained on arrival.

Families do not need to be Toy Library members to attend sessions; they can sign up while they are there in order to borrow toys or benefit from the home-delivery service.

Stay and play sessions, which suggest an optional£1 donation gift from attendees, will run on a drop-in basis initially but numbers of entrants will be limited to ensure social distancing.

Details for joining the Frome Toy Library and images of a selection of its 50+ toy sacks for pre-schoolers and board games for older children and families can be found on website www.fromechildrensfestival.org/toy-library/
