The Community Larder in the centre of Frome is looking for more volunteers to join the team.

The larder is open to all, and stocked with excess produce from local supermarkets and households. Last week, as the Co-op in the Westway closed it was full of many items as they cleared their shelves.

Some shops put their produce in the larder on their own, but often volunteers are needed to collect food, so you will need a car and be able to collect in the evening and drop off in the mornings.

If you can help you can contact them via their social media page HERE :

Meantime the team behind the scheme, which has won awards and is now being copied in other parts of Frome and other towns, have asked people not to put clothes in the larder.

"Please can we only have donations of food. Thank you."
