The expansion of the Broadies CBD store into central Frome - due to open today (July 1) - has been delayed by stock stuck by customs and hiccups in the store fit out.

The new shop, on Stony Street in Frome, should be ready to open within the next day or two, with the owners telling Nub News that they are as keen as our readers to get started.

In addition to stocking CBD products the company will also be having a small coffee area, so customers can spend some time talking about what kind of products may suit them.

The opening is an expansion for the company, which already has a shop at the top of Midsomer Norton High Street.

Pre coronavirus lockdowns Nub News went to Broadies to hear about the shop, why the couple started the business, and how important it is for them to get their customers on the right amount of CBD.

In the report there is an explanation about CBD.

There are two main ingredients that are found in the marijuana plant, CBD and THC. Together these both belong to an exclusive class of compounds known as cannabinoids.

Hemp and marijuana come from the same plant, but they couldn't be more different. CBD is mainly processed form of the hemp plant.

Everyone naturally produce endocannabinoids-a compound similar to CBD and people are shocked to be told it's already in our body. Cannabinoids aren't just found in the cannabis plant, they're in us too.

CBD is known as a non-psychoactive cannabinoid meaning when you take it, it won't get you high. This unique feature is what makes individuals attracted to CBD.
