Horrifying fly tipping close to Frome - and it's not the first time

There have been numerous social media reports about flying tipping in and around Frome over recent weeks, but this is particularly horrifying.

In addition to old bathroom bits it contained eight sheets - some broken - of asbestos.

This was dumped on Fairwood Road, Dilton Marsh to Brokerswood on the right just outside Penleigh.

The owner of the land said it is happening daily.

It was photographed by the Frome butchers Penleigh Farm who wrote:

" Last night's offering looks like some one has been remodelling a bathroom or downstairs loo. Small sink and some lino. Lots of dust sheets and paint rollers. Also 8 broken sheets of ASBESTOS have miraculously appeared over night. Well done you disgust me."

He has appealed for anyone who might know who dumped it there:

"Somebody must recognise some of this mess .. People need to stop employing shoddy tradesmen, they are cheap for a reason. Bigger cost to everyone else and the environment."
