Hunger Games reference - Sign on approach to Frome perplexes motorists

A perplexing sign has appeared on the approach to Frome, seemingly tied up with the large numbers of people from London now moved to the town.

The sign is an apparent reference to the dystopian novel Hunger Games, and the district which as not meant to exist; but Frome Nub News is not sure how to interpret it.

The words : District 13 We Came From London are next to the town sign for Frome on the road from Buckland Dinham.

District 13 is a hidden district in the books and then the hugely successful films and has a role in saving the nation, so perhaps that's it.

District 13 is also a less well known French action film, but again Nub News does not know why it would be used either.

One of the recent posts on a Frome community page has hundreds of comments, some complaining on how an influx of Londoners has pushed up house prices.

There is also concern of the number of school places that are available for what seem typically to be young families relocating.

But others were more supportive, one posting that they moved to Frome from the Midlands almost 20 years ago and to just ignore the negative comments.
