B&Q has opened a new store in Frome, the first small format store to open in England outside of the South-East.

The new store was declared officially open with a formal cutting of the ribbon by Sara Butler, Deputy Mayor of Frome.

Liam Sheppard, Frome store manager, said: "My team and I are looking forward to welcoming local residents into our latest store. Whether its gardening, last-minute DIY essentials or an exciting home improvement project, we look forward to offering convenient access to a wide range of products and advice to anyone that needs it. I'm also very pleased to say that the opening of our new Frome store has created 21 jobs in the local area"
