Shepton Mallet Lido is now open for the summer season

The outdoor pool, popular with both adult and family swimmers, had been closed since 2019 due to lockdown restrictions but opened on May 22.

Swimmers will be able to pay per visit or take out a monthly adult membership, which can be purchased online, and children's memberships can be purchased at the lido. The centre is now cashless, and all sessions must be pre-booked and paid for online or via the Fusion Lifestyle app. This will both ensure contact is minimised and allow for track and trace to be implemented.

Shepton Mallet Lido will operate in line with government safety guidelines and swimmers will be asked to arrive with their costumes under their clothes, ready to go. This measure, contactless booking and meticulous cleaning routines, are designed to keep customers safe and offer complete confidence to use the facilities.

Director of Operations at Fusion Anthony Cawley, said: "We're really excited to open Shepton Mallet Lido for the summer season. We know how much the local community missed it last year and our team can't wait to welcome them back for summer 2021."

The centre will be open daily, but please refer to the website for opening hours. Bookings can be made up to seven days in advance, via download of the Fusion Lifestyle app or visit www.fusion-lifestyle.com to register and use the online booking facility.
