After a 'pilot' back in August with temperatures of 35 degrees, this Saturdays' Somerset Farmers Market fficial launch will be a much more comfortable affair.

The SFM will be promoting local food related projects and this Saturday is the turn of the newly launched Frome Seed Library based in Frome Library taking a free pitch to encourage people to get involved.

The idea is simple; bring along any surplus seed you may have, & swap for other seeds donated by other fellow local growers. If you don't have any seeds to donate, fear not, help yourself to some seed packs, but remember us when it comes to harvest time - we'd love to have some of the seeds to start the cycle all over again! At the market people can find out more about the Seed Library, and there will be a donation box & seed trays so people can see a mini version of it.

The team will also have hot locally roasted coffee and seating at the market, but also want to give a shout out to the local cafes providing breakfasts and brunches in Frome on Saturday -why not check out the nearby Lo Rapitenic or La Strada on Cheap Street?
