Frome Town Council is looking for a pair of town rangers. They say : "Our vision is for the community places and green spaces of Frome being managed and maintained to the highest standards. Whether play parks, wildflower meadows, historic trees or streets in the town centre our aspiration is that vibrant local communities feel a sense of ownership and pride in their neighbourhoods. "

You would join the four person ranger team reporting to the lead ranger. You would be undertaking varied practical tasks from tending orchards to hedge laying to caring for play areas, while working with volunteers and community groups. Pay £23,620 apply HERE Closing end of March.

The fabulous local charity, We Hear You is looking for a Finance & Administration Manager. Salary: £36,000 per annum (pro rata 22.5 hours per week)

Fixed term for six months with potential to extend. Closing date March 12. They say : "You'll work with our CEO Lucy Kitchener to ensure that annual budgets are set, to monitor performance against budget, and to take necessary corrective action; ensuring this aligns to the strategic plan. You will be responsible for a range of fiscal management tasks including month end, analysis, and forecasts; preparation of annual group and subsidiary accounts; banking and cash management arrangements; and development and review of WHY's finance policies.

And Frome Festival, which is coming to the town this year, Friday 7th July – Sunday 16th July is looking for a part time bookkeeper. Details here

The Festival hosts 200 events, workshops and activities featuring a broad range of arts and culture in over 40 venues across the town, from concert halls and theatres to churches, pubs and parks. The Festival's mission is to celebrate Frome's unique arts scene by providing accessible cultural events for over 12,000 attendees per year and championing our creative community by providing an annual platform for over 100 events delivered by local venues, artists and community groups. Hours The post is paid for hours-worked at £11 per hour with the pattern of hours worked per week subject to agreement with the festival director according to workload. Claims for hours worked are submitted monthly. Closing date for applications is the end of this week.

And Selwood Academy is looking for a Business Support Assistant with the main work taking care of reception; greeting and supporting the community each day and to also undertake tasks to support the business team as a whole. The existing members of the business team will offer plenty of support and guidance as well as a good sense of humour. You will need to be flexible, proactive and calm when working in a busy but rewarding environment. Previous experience of working in a school office is desirable but not essential.
