Together with the Manager, the Deputy Manager (DM) is responsible for administering the operations of the bookstore, providing supervision and leadership to bookstore staff, and helping to organize and lead events and projects. The role is customer service orientated, so excellent communication skills and a customer focused outlook are essential. The DM will be innovative and creative; identifying opportunities to help the business grow, and offering solutions to any challenges that arise, Part time at first but hoping to make this a full time post. The role will require you to cut down plywood to create pallets and to create structures within pallets in order to fit more inside as well as custom making boxes when needed. • Forklift license/certificate (advantageous not imperative) • Previous Experience in a packing environment (advantageous not imperative) • Familiar with using power tools/Carpentry (IMPERATIVE) Skills and attributes: • Physically fit and strong, this role will be physically demanding.
