Discover Frome, the town's one-stop shop of all things local, based in Frome Library, is seeking new volunteers to join its team.

The friendly volunteer team provide information about events and activities taking place in the town as well as details about walking, cycling and exploring the area for residents and visitors alike. Cllr Anita Collier said: "The information point is Frome's first port of call when it comes to what you need to know about the town. We're enormously grateful to our current volunteers and would love to see more join the team. Whether you're recently retired, starting your career or looking to get more involved with your local community, if you have a passion for Frome and enjoy meeting people, becoming a Discover Frome volunteer could be just the thing for you."

The Discover Frome Information Point is based in Frome Library and is open Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Friday from 10am to 1pm and Wednesday and Saturday from 10am – 4pm.

Anyone with time to spare, looking for a new opportunity or to gain skills and experience can volunteer their time on the days that suit them. The role includes opening and closing the Information Point as well as handling money and communicating directly with the public.
