A legend, a top man, a true gent... just some of the praise for boxing legend Frank Bruno following his hugely popular show in Frome.

But showing he was also a man of humble needs, he also stopped off post show, and looking rather dapper for a local kebab.

Frank Bruno was appearing at the Cheese & Grain and happily posed for photos with fans after the show.

Looking every inch the gentle giant, the 60 year old, was awarded the MBE in 1990.

Clearly he keeps fit and said to work out daily, he also enjoys a bit of a fast food treat - and this Frome kebab shop hit the mark after his show on November 24.

Frank, who made headlines in and out of the ring, competed professionally from 1982 to 1996 and was WBC heavyweight champion in 1995.

He was known for his exceptional punching power, scoring 38 knockouts in 40 wins and giving him a 95% knockout-to-win ratio; his overall knockout percentage was 84.44%.

In the kebab shop he happily chatted with fans - joking that " even normal people do this."
