Frome College has sent out their latest advice to parents of pupils at the school which warns them to get ready to work from home.

Principal Emma Reynolds has written about the current situation regarding COVID-19 to reassure parents and carers that the college is taking the virus very seriously.

She wrote: " Some weeks ago we installed hand

sanitation wall units for our staff and students in high population areas such as corridors. We are checking that there is a plentiful supply of soap and paper towels available in all toilets at all times.

We have educated and reminded all students and staff about the importance of good hand hygiene,

as per the NHS advice."

Going forward the letter asks parents to make sure that they have access electronically to the College's virtual

learning environment.

It recommends that if they are not already on the system " it is very important that you contact us as soon as you can so we can provide a log-in. It is very important that learning continues, especially for our exam year groups."

Although exam arrangements are currently unaffected, teachers will brief students on specific ways they can continue to study should the college need to close.

The Principal ends the letter with : " It is very important that we all work together during this time and keep ourselves and our community healthy."
