As a mark of respect on the day of the state funeral, Longleat will be closed to all visitors on Monday 19th September

The park says it will be time to reflect on Her Majesty's incredible contribution and life's legacy.

If you have booked a visit to Longleat you can expect a notification shortly on when you will be able to use your ticket. The adjoining Center Parcs venue will also be closed. It posted that it had made the decision to close its five UK sites on the day of the funeral "as a mark of respect and to allow as many of our colleagues as possible to be part of this historic moment ."

However in an update after telling guests that they would have to check out on Monday morning and then be elsewhere, the company made a U Turn and said people who were booked over that date, could stay on in their chalets.

The Odeon cinema which has a branch in Trowbridge, will also be closing all its screens across the UK.
