Another Frome pub that has re-opened - although sadly not yet serving food - is the Vine Tree.

The pub, on Berkley Road, which is owned by Enterprise, re-opened on the first day they were allowed to as easing came in, on July 4.

Landlady Donna Blagdon told Nub News on July 12: " It has been good, nice and busy.

" Customers so far seem really good, with everybody trying to follow the rules. It is a bit awkward because it is new and everyone trying to make sense of it, but we are managing okay.

" We didn't think we would get very many customers back (right away) but we were busy and yesterday we were busy too so that was good."

But those hoping to pop in for their Sunday Lunches will be disappointed.

Donna explained: " We aren't doing meals a the moment, Enterprise need to fix up all the kitchen and get it back to safely working under the new rules. Hopefully it will be open again by Christmas if not just after. We will see. But it is just good to be open."

That will be good news for the customers who posted about the meal they had last Christmas at the Vine Tree.

The review from a group of 30 said: " Thirty of us turned up for a three course dinner and it was excellent 5 . We had a carvery that was well set up the food was very good."
