Frome Town FC is hoping to get ahead of the return of the beautiful game with an appeal for short videos on why their existing fans would like to encourage more visitors

The Robins are putting together a video to help show those in the surrounding community why Frome Town FC is loved and why they love watching live local sport.

They hope to help attract more people to come to matches up at their ground as the season begins.

In their appeal they write : " Allowing more people to realise that live sport is on their doorstep and it's available for everyone. As we exit lockdown, we want everyone to know how accessible and safe it is to come and watch matches at the ground. "

Pre lockdowns the games, just a short walk from the centre of Frome at their ground, renamed the Robins' Nest last year and up on Berkley Road, saw an average crowd of 300.

The club added : " But the aim is to not stop there we want to see more people come in to add to the atmosphere and help grow the club. "

How You Can Help ?

So the club asks : Can you help us by recording a super short video of yourself answering the following question...

"Why do you love Frome?" (BUT don't repeat the question).

For example, the fans, the atmosphere at the ground. THEN Then leave a gap and say "we are BA 11" (BA Eleven)

If you can do this in a well lit area, somewhere in Frome would be amazing, but anywhere outside would be better. Just using your camera phone is perfect! No need for fancy cameras or camera men.

Where to send the video

If you can send any videos to [email protected]
