With no league fixtures at the weekend, the Frome RFC 3rd XV travelled to Bath to take on Dorset & Wilts 2 North, Colerne RFC 1st XV in a friendly fixture, and with the home side playing several levels above, it was going to be a challenging game.

The home side started strong and after 20 minutes had rushed into a 19-0 lead, Frome rallied strongly and with some great link up play between Forwards and Backs, Frome scored their first try when Wes Masters broke through the defence to cross the line, the conversation being missed.

From the kick off Frome broke away, and with quick hands out wide, the ball came to Masters who found himself once again crossing the try line for his second of the game, the conversion l going wide.

Frome continued to pile on the pressure and once again found themselves in the Colerne 22, where after a solid scrum and good ruck ball, Scrum Half Bryan Loftus scored his first try of the season, the extras being missed.
