Holy Trinity Church Frome is launching a new service to help people with money struggles during the cost of living crisis.

The church is already running a Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Debt Centre which has been offering free, face to face debt help for the last three years but is now launching new, free money coaching sessions.

Anyone in the community interested in finding out more is invited to the church's big community open day on Saturday 4 November between 10am - 3pm at Holy Trinity Church, Trinity St, Frome, BA11 3DE.

There'll be free tea, coffee and biscuits and everyone is welcome to attend and find out more. CAP's Frome Debt Centre Manager, Phil Gray says, "This event is for everyone in Frome to find out more about the work happening locally to support people through the cost of living crisis.

"Whether you need help yourself, want to find out more for a family member or friend or maybe you just want to pop along for a cup of tea and a chat about how you can play your part in supporting local people during this difficult time.

"Whatever your reason for attending, you'll receive a very warm and friendly welcome at Holy Trinity Church Frome." Phil continued, "This year has been a real struggle for many people in Frome living on a low income, particularly because of all the rising costs.

"We are sadly seeing families and individuals coming to our Christians Against Poverty Debt Centre for help who are in unmanageable debt, skipping meals and going without the basic essentials they need to live.

"As a church we are passionate about helping our community during this challenging time so we are launching free money coaching sessions alongside our already established CAP debt help service.

"Money coaching, created by CAP, is a fantastic tool to help anyone who is struggling to manage their finances or who just wants to improve their money management skills to make their cash go further.

"It's completely free and is run over several face to face sessions to help people gain new knowledge through a range of videos, activities and friendly discussion. The aim is to help anyone who attends to feel more confident and in control of their finances.

"We are also continuing to offer free debt help as well to anyone who is already struggling in debt and needs support."

Money coaching in Frome will be launching in November. Contact Phil Gray on 07496 516089 or at [email protected] to find out more or register your interest in attending
