Sunday saw the return of Frome's annual celebration of all the cultures and nationalities within the town.

The free event at the Cheese & Grain celebrated scores of countries whose residents have chosen Frome as their home. with singing, dancing, music, crafts, food and costumes.

One of the most popular stalls for Frome Nub News was the Turkish corner, with yummy baklavi and Bülbül yuvas and of course some distinctive kahve.

But there was much more to see too, with crafts from Asia, dancing from a little closer to home and a Latin American display. There was even a very well known mole, if you wanted to Czech him out.

According to Frome Town Council figures (from 2016) just 6.3% of Frome's population has an ethnicity other than White British, which is below the national figure. However that has changed significantly over recently years and today there are said to be 58 nationalities now living in Frome.

Another activity in the hall included a display of Polish folk art. The town has a popular Polish shop, Kasia, on Christchurch Street West and a number of Polish schoolchildren, who in the summer produced a video for their Saturday Polish school in Bath, about what they most enjoy about living in Frome. The video, Polish and English, is HERE : on You Tube
