A brand-new photo studio has been created for those in Frome, Bath and further afield to use.

Bath Theatrical Costume Hire, one of the area's longest running family businesses, has recently re-opened its doors with some new fixtures and fittings.

Studio 2 – a fully furnished and functioning photography studio – is located at the theatrical costume company's Frome headquarters.

Managing Director, Rusette Auton, said: "As well as costumes for fancy dress, theatre productions, TV commercials and period weddings, we're also now offering a space which can be used as a photo studio.

" We've always provided costumes for photographers, but now there is a studio with a wardrobe of 30,000 costumes attached. Costumed portrait photoshoots are now so much more of an accessible option. We'd like to create a directory of photographers, period hair stylists and make-up artists who could work on costumed portraits. Everyone likes to capture special moments. Studio 2 has been created for that very purpose – to offer the community an accessible space for professional photo shoots.

"In addition, we'll be offering the space to help combat the pent-up stress accumulated during the pandemic. Providing an assortment of costumes and accessories, the space will be hired out as a Fancy D-Stress Room where a small group of people can come and dress up and enjoy a bit of laughter therapy."

Bath Theatrical Costume Hire is located at Unit 8, Wallbridge Industrial Estate, Frome, BA11 5 JZ.

"Bath Theatrical is like no other business" added Rusette, "You can escape to another world. It is undoubtedly our quirkiness and versatility that has helped us ride the economic changes of the past 50 years, and the pandemic challenges of the last 12 months."
