The Rye Bakery on Whittox Lane has a new entrance off Catherine Hill for as long as engineering work is closing off Whittox Lane.

As reported on Nub News the lane is being excavated by Wessex Water and is due to be closed until April 23.

So customers can now go into the bakery - and when lockdown restrictions are eased, the RISE community centre - from mid way up Catherine Hill via the Zion path to the other side of the building.

Rye Bakery as part of RISE (formerly the HubNub Centre) began in Spring 2017 and is a popular Frome venue, having many fans of its baking and more recently weekly pizza nights.

The church, for the Zion United Reformists, dates from 1790, and the congregation moved out in 2013.
