Frome is once again in the international news.

It is featured in the leading American paper, the New York Times, specifically on the work that has been done to combat loneliness.

It comes after the Frome Model, as it is known, championed by the lead of Frome Medical Practice, Dr Helen Kingston, locked in permanent funding for the program.

She is interviewed for the piece.

You can read all about it by clicking HERE : About 15 million people read one of the paper's many newsletters each week

The article also references the community fridge, ( we did not know they were former toilets) and the Talking Bench, a wooden seat where a paid health connector waits each Wednesday morning to talk to anyone who just wants to chat or is looking for advice.

However the New York Times, refers to Frome as a city - which will make a few people smile.
