How would your kids like a special visit from the Frome police next week?

The Frome Police Neighbourhood team have launched a competition for all the children in the town, and the prize is a visit from the team, with police cars and of course, the blue lights.

They are inviting children in the town to draw their favourite key worker, and the prize will be the team coming to the winner's street next Thursday (30th April) to clap for key workers at 8pm.

Officers not just promising to bring along the nee naws (the police cars), they will also put on those blue lights on too.

Sgt Rachel Clark said: " We will of course be complying with the social distancing measures just like you've been so good in doing this month.

"We will announce the winner next Thursday- take a picture of the entries."

You can submit the picture on her social media page: which also gives details of the incredible fundraising Rachel undertook for the local cancer counselling charity, We Hear You. Search on Facebook for 365 miles for WHY .

Rachel, who raised over £20,000 for the charity by running a mile, every single day of last year has just been nominated as fundraiser of the year in the National Fundraiser of the Year 2020.

Or you can email your children's picture perfect entry to

: [email protected].

Please include the child's name and your road name with your picture.

Rachel said: " Good luck and I look forward to seeing some wonderful entries. Until then keep complying and of course exercising. I look forward to a 365 reunion mile in the showfield soon.. ish."
