An unusual rescue of a horse in Frome has shown the scope of work that the fire service are able to do.

Yesterday the animal rescue team from the Bedminster service came to help out Magic - a horse trapped by an unfortunate sequence of events.

Overnight they were on hand to come over to Frome to help rescue Magic, an eight year old horse who was trapped, by the legs, in the bars of a gate.

While in transit, Magic became entangled in the bars of a gate which had been stored at the rear of the horse box.

The crew from Bedminster used electric cutters and spreaders to free the horse. Good work Bedminster Fire Station, showing that the fire service tackling #notjustfires
