Oasis Carnival Club are 2019 County Cup winners
Frome-based Oasis Carnival Club are celebrating their first ever County Cup win in their 19-year history for the best two-piece cart.
The club were the highest points scorers over the seven carnivals which started with Bridgwater and ended with Glastonbury.
The whole club are over the moon with this success and are proud bringing some silverware back to their home town.
Dean Wilson, who has just rejoined the club, said: "I have been involved with Oasis Carnival Club on and off since 2006 and the club have been getting better and better.
"For such a small club this is a massive achievement, we are all over the moon."
Oasis are looking to build on this effort next year and are on the look out for new members to join the team, whether you have no skills or skills, they want to hear from you.
Fundraising, electricians, carpenters, painters, artists, costume makers, model makers, make up or anybody who just wants to get involved and give it a go, the more members the club can get on board, the more chance of getting the cart finished early enough to get out for the home town carnival.
