On fire : Hundreds of visitors get inspiration as Frome College throws open the doors

By Susie Watkins 13th Oct 2022

Frome College's first Open Evening since the pandemic saw a record breaking 700 people attend tours of the site, which were all led by current students.

Visitors were treated to explosive science lessons, art galleries, dance, and theatre recitals, as well as tasty takeaways from catering company Chartwells.

Suzanne Williams, mum of year 8 Oakfield student Seth, said: "This has been a wonderful event, and a real eye opener to the opportunities offered at Frome College. Seth is now very excited to start there next September."

For the first time, the evening also offered a chance to view the Post 16 facilities in Futures and students travelled in from all over the area to see what they could gain by enrolling at Frome College Futures.

Principal, Ms Emma Reynolds, said: " We have been delighted to welcome so many parents and potential students to our school. We want to educate and inspire the next generation and we strongly believe in achieving success by working together with parents. Having so many of them here on site and enjoying what we have to offer is the perfect opportunity to build and strengthen the home school bond".
