Avanti Park School in Frome has been given a top report from Ofsted.

Although the overall grade was Good, following an inspection in February the report card was higher in some areas:

Specifically : Behaviour and attitudes to learning, Outstanding

Personal development Outstanding

Leadership and management Outstanding.

This is a big boost for the school and a huge turnaround from its previous life as a Steiner Academy.

Inspectors praised the leaders at the school and for the curriculum being "rich" and say the school has been transformed.

Avanti at the top of Park Road and next door to Victoria Park, is an academy free school for pupils aged 4 to 13, 488 of them currently at the school.

Avanti Park School opened in November 2019. When its predecessor school, Steiner Academy Frome, was last inspected by Ofsted, it was judged to be inadequate.
