Overnight car blaze in Frome believed to be arson

A fire in Frome in which a car was destroyed in the early hours of this morning (October 25) is believed to be an arson attack.

The fire brigade received multiple calls for a vehicle fire in Welshmill Lane, Frome, just after 3.30am today.

A fire engine from Frome was quickly mobilised and located a vehicle that was well alight. Crews quickly got to work using one CAFS branch to try and extinguish.

Firefighters successfully extinguished the fire with the CAFS however the vehicle was 100 per cent damaged by the fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
