The toilets in Victoria Park in Frome have re-opened today (July 22).

However the Town Council has warned that they are not in a position to clean them throughout the day.

The council has been criticised on social media for not re-opening the toilets earlier, when the popular cafe has been open for some weeks along with the children's play area.

The ladies' and the gents' will be open every day (including weekends) between 10am and 6pm.

The accessible toilet is opened (and closed) by a Radar key

On their web site the council adds that they will be cleaning and disinfecting the toilets once a day in the mornings, before they open.

Other details from FTC:

- You'll find hand sanitiser gel as you go in (and as you leave)

- We've temporarily closed two of the cubicles in the ladies' so it's easier to keep your distance

- We're also suggesting one in; one out as far as possible – but we realise this might be tricky some of the time

- We haven't put a one-way system in place because it just isn't very practical. So please look out for others and keep your distance if you have to queue outside.
