Travel Somerset has today (September 14) used a photo of the Somerset Highways work on Selwood Road in Frome to highlight the best practice over the past month.

The work on the re-surfacing has been widely praised by residents who have welcomed the fact that noise on the road has been minimised.

On a social media post, Travel Somerset posted: "Our resurfacing teams have put in a fantastic shift over the summer.They completed four separate schemes across Somerset in August ".

There was a big row about Somerset Highways closing the road for resurfacing when it did, since it was at the same time as the centre of Frome was closed by the Market Place developments.
