Planning applications put into Mendip this week include:
An application is in for Approval of details reserved by condition 20 (Cockey Lamp Retention) of planning consent 2018/2711/FUL for land at Cherry Grove in Frome.
An application is in for the Erection of 1no. Advertising Board on the Mills and Allen advertising on the Portway in Frome. This is for a hoarding close to B&M on the South Side of Station Approach. It is part of a strategy industry-wide from the company to move from paper and paste advertising displays to a digital format, which the company means it is "capable of being operated from a central location and significantly reducing vehicle trips for reposting. "
An application is in for Adaptations to suit disabled resident including internal alterations to provide open plan layout. Wheelchair lift to first floor. Landscaping works to repair driveway and insert accessible ramps, level access and external patio space. Erection of single-storey rear extension and alteration to conservatory. at Oldford Hill House on Cuckoo Lane in Frome.
Planners are considering an application to Remove existing porch, construction of front and side extension including porch. at 33 Wynford Road in Frome.
While in Buckland Dinham an application is in to Conversion of Barn & Garage to form a 2 Bedroom Dwelling. Small Lobby Extension. at Brookover Farm along the Frome to Radstock Road . This follows the withdrawal of an earlier application.

An application to turn The Crown Inn on Zion Hill in Clapton into homes has been refused. Planners argued that not enough had been done to try and keep the pub as a going concern. The application was to convert the pub into three homes with an additional two homes on site.
Approved, plans for a two storey side extension at 67 Wyville Road in Frome.
Also approved, plans for a first floor extension over existing garage/store to form ancillary annexe at Highfield on Gypsy Lane in Frome.
Also approved, an application to replace the windows and the front door at Rudge Hill House on Rudge Lane in Rudge.
And in case you were wondering, the alternative application for Saxonvale in Frome should get a hearing next week.
The team behind Mayday have posted: " As we received conditional planning approval back in August, our plan is due to go back to the Planning Board on December 14th to approve the completed conditions. "
