An extract from one of the latest planning applications put into Mendip District Council

Planning news in and around Frome this week and decisions made by Mendip Planners include:

They have ruled that the Development is Lawful in an application for a Certificate of Lawfulness of Existing Use or Development (CLEUD) in respect of the use of a detached building in Spring Gardens in Frome. The building, at Spring Heights on Coalash Lane, is being used as an independent dwelling house (planning use class C3).

They have approved an application to remove flat roof on the front elevation and replace with mono pitch tiled roof at 7 Lynfield Road in Frome.

Planners have approved the building of a single storey industrial building at Pallet Supplies on Grove Lane in Frome. One of the comments on this application is: " I can see no reason not to agree with this. Good for local business and nice not to be dealing

with houses for a change!"

Over in Rode, planners have approved the building of a garden building

at 3 Stable Close.

In planning applications put into Mendip this week:

An application has been lodged for approval of details reserved by conditions 7 (drainage) on planning consent 2020/1964/FUL has been lodged for work at The Bungalow on Court Farm in Buckland Lane in Great Elm. That is under Ref. No: 2021/1410/APP
