Planning news in and around Frome this week

Frome planning news and into Mendip planners :

An amendment application for plans to build over 150 homes at the former Butler and Tanner works in Frome. A non-material amendment to permission 2019/0209/REM (Application for approval of reserved matters following outline approval 2015/1392/OTS for the erection of 157 homes and a 447m2 Neighbourhood Centre, along with associated open space and infrastructure. Matters of appearance, landscaping, layout and scale to be determined. The development is on the Caxton Road in Frome details under Ref. No: 2022/0496/NMA.

An application for approval of details reserved by condition 11 (T tree/hedgerow habitat protection plan) on planning consent 2021/1790/FUL which is for outbuildings at Yew Tree Farm on the Old Wells Road in Chantry Ref. No: 2022/0566/APP. The planning is for the conversion and extension of two existing redundant buildings into a new dwelling.

An application has been put in to fell a Cupressus at Roadmender's Cottage in Norton St Philip. Details under Ref. No: 2022/0572/TCA.

Planning decisions made by Mendip this week include:

Planners have no objection on an application to fell a Lime tree which has developed a large crack in it at Manor House on Selwood Street in Mells.

Approval of details reserved by condition 5 (new flooring - submission of samples) on Listed Building Consent 2021/1136/LBC for 4 South Parade Frome. Described as a complex historic building, this is a four bedroomed terrace house thought to be constructed in the 18th century made of rubble stone and was first listed in 1974. The family who live there have put in an application to upgrade sash windows and to make internal improvements.
