Planning applications in and around Frome include:

2022/2327/FUL | Change of use from residential to spa and holiday let with associated internal works | at 90 Weymouth Road Frome.

This is being discussed at the Frome Town Planning meeting tonight (December 15). The application is for a change from the current one one bed flat and six bedsits into a spa at the lower ground floor level and four holiday lets on the first and second floors.

Also on the agenda at tonight's meeting. An application for a two storey rear extension at 6 Poplar Close Frome, details under 2022/2333/HSE.

A retrospective conversion and change of use of existing outbuilding from music studio to residential annexe at 18 Whitewell Road in Frome. Details on the Mendip planning site under 2022/2278/HSE.

Other plans include:

An application for a loft conversion including a dormer at 60 Rivers Reach Frome. Ref. No: 2022/2419/HS

An application is in to fell some trees at 18 Vallis Road in Frome. Details Ref. No: 2022/2430/TPO, There is also an application to reduce the height of an apple tree at 14 Willow Vale Frome Ref. No: 2022/2379/TCA.

In Rode, The Bell Inn on the Frome Road has put in an application to build three homes. Details under Ref. No: 2022/2374/FUL.

The homeowners of 36 Longfield in Mells have put in an application to build a single-storey extension following demolition of kitchen and outbuilding stores. Raising party wall to form abutment parapet wall & valley gutter, making good abutment of neighbouring properties roof. Improvements to landscape in rear garden. Details under 2022/2397/CLP
