After over seven years of boxing the sport and exercise in Frome could be coming to an end as the gym where training happens is closing up.

After 19 years the Trainstation Gym in Frome will be closing its doors at end of the month and it means to an end to one of the training companies which used it, Boxing Gym Frome Boxing And Fitness

The owner, a professional boxer and trainer, has been working hard to find another suitable venue, but admits he has not yet been successful in finding something affordable.

If this closes, as Frome Amateur Boxing Gym closed earlier this year.

that means nowhere in Frome has boxing training. He appealed : If anyone knows of a small unit or somewhere they think is acceptable please do not hesitate to drop me a message or call me

Ryan Wheeler has been running one-to-one boxing classes for the past seven years and said: " Not only is it sad for boxing but for the people of Frome and surrounding areas.

"Boxing is brilliant sport for people of all ages. Boxing helps promote a healthy lifestyle, lose weight, keep fit and install discipline. "

He currently trains with over 100 individuals ranging from age 6 and up. The classes are suitable for all ages, shapes and sizes and he facilitates large groups, especially the under 15's.

He added: " I have made great friends over the years with my members and would like to thank everybody who has supported my sessions past and present. And I would also like to say thank you to

Trainstation Gym for all of the support over the years."
