Police appeal for help after assault on elderly man in Frome

Police are appealing for Frome help in identifying this man,to help them with their enquiries into an assault in the town.

The incident happened in the Marks and Spencer's car park in Kingsway at 3.30pm on 7 March.

The suspect took items from the store without paying but was confronted by the victim. The suspect then pushed the victim – a man in his 70s – causing him to fall to the ground. He sustained an injury to his shoulder and upper arm, which required hospital treatment.

Police said: " The man pictured was in the area at the time and we are keen to identify him as we believe he may have information to help our enquiries into the incident.

We're keen for the man, or anyone who recognises him, to contact us, quoting reference 5220055607."
