Police appeal for witnesses after stabbing in central Frome on Thursday

The police have put out an appeal for anyone who was witness to a stabbing in the car park of the Cheese & Grain in Frome on Thursday.

They were called shortly after 1.45pm on May 6 after a man was assaulted in Market Place, Frome.

Officers and paramedics attended the scene and found the victim had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital but his condition is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time.

A 48-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody. He's since been released under investigation.

Enquiries continue.
