Police update online gallery of seized items in Somerset burglary investigation

Avon and Somerset Police have updated their online gallery of seized property, with members of the public invited to check whether any of the newly added items may have been stolen from them.
The latest update follows a series of in-person viewings held in Edington, near Bridgwater, last month, which police say were successful in reuniting victims with their belongings.
The gallery is part of a major investigation into a string of burglaries targeting homes and outbuildings across Somerset and into the Blackdown Hills area of Devon, north of Honiton. More than 400 items were recovered during the enquiry.
Some property has already been returned to burglary victims dating back to 2023, but officers are still working to trace the rightful owners of many remaining items, which include jewellery, cutlery, china, ornaments, tools, silverware, and collectables.
The investigation featured on BBC's Crimewatch Live earlier this year, with Detective Sergeant Charlie Pulling discussing the case alongside presenter Rav Wilding.
Three men have been charged in connection with multiple burglaries and remain in custody while court proceedings continue.
The police are urging anyone who recognises an item in the gallery to submit a claim using the online form and be prepared to provide proof of ownership.
You can view the full gallery and submit a claim via the Avon and Somerset Police website.
