Popular Frome town centre venue closed due to coronavirus - team say please don't be anxious

The Cordero Lounge in the Westway in Frome was today (November 16) closed with a notice telling customers staff have tested positive for coronavirus.

In a notice in the window, the popular venue apologised to customers saying " A couple of members of the team have tested positive on lateral flow tests."

It added that while the notice might be concerning to those who have visited recently that they should not do anything unless contacted by NHS Test & Trace.

The venue is also being deep cleaned.

" Our sincere apologies for any anxieties caused." It wrote on the sign.

Locally cases have been falling in Frome. Frome North West

currently has a seven day case rate to 10 November down 15.2 per cent to 56 cases.

Numbers at Frome College are also reported to be down, with the Principal writing to parents yesterday (November 15). "Positive cases of COVID-19 are dropping in college and are currently very low, however

Public Health England has advised that we remain in enhanced status for the next couple of weeks- until the end of November. "
